Getting Started: Conceptualize

Before starting a blog, you must find/determine your niche. A niche is defined as a focused, targetable portion. If you want your blog to earn money, determining your niche is a critical process. There are a lot of factors that influence this decision. Among them are:

1. Audience

Finding the right audience is one of the important factors. Do you want a narrow spectrum of audience? Or do you want a larger and more broad one? Having a blog that can generate revenue, we must target the latter. Having a broad audience will improve your site traffic.

2. Knowledge Base

As a beginner, you must first concentrate on the things that you know very well. For example, if you are a medicine student, one must expect you to make a blog catered to medical students or at least a blog related to your field (e.g. Medicine Blog). Having this base knowledge won't exhaust your resources and may also lead to self improvement in your chosen field. However, once you have mastered one of your niche, you might want to try out other things, like making a PSP blog, or making a Beauty blog. There are a lot of things to try out. There is no harm in learning something new. However, always remember that before publishing an article, you must assure that all the facts are correct, especially when writing about articles which can be used for research.

3. Trends

Having a niche which targets the trend of the time is a good start. Learn what's hot and concentrate on it. This will attract readers and may be a good starting point for your blog.

***Just remember not to deviate from your niche. Basically, it's finding your niche and sticking to it. Once you have established your niche, it's time to make your blog.
